"1) I completed my project at work -- it was such a success they promoted me and now I basically work from home, which has afforded me the opportunity to pursue other interest as well.

2) Speaking of which, I have always wanted to be a writer and last month started on my first writing project. It's a screenplay and while it needs a LOT of polishing, I actually think it has potential. But I'm doing it really for me, right now.

3) Despite the crazy real estate market, I managed to find a new place to rent for the upcoming year. It's bigger, in a much nicer area, and is not substantially more expensive than the place I am currently living. I move December 30 so I literally start the new year in a new home!
